Treloquithack Farmhouse is a real Cornish granite longhouse which has graced the hillside above the Helford River since 1560 and probably before then. It is the oldest house in the area and contains a number of fascinating architectural features most notable of which are the two ‘cloam’ ovens in the kitchen and the wealth of  exposed granite and beams throughout the house. Pronounced Trelo as in ‘Hello’ and quithack as in ‘my back’, the house exudes hospitality and warmth, wholesomeness and serenity. Well that’s how we like to see it. Let us know what you feel.

Children are welcome so long as they play with the daughter of the house and inspect her toys. So too are dogs though they may have to sleep with the owners’ dogs in the kitchen.

Breakfast is all from local mostly organic suppliers. Supper or dinner is always available as is packed lunch and afternoon tea.
